This Privacy Policy describes how DentalTechLab (“we”, “us” or “our”), a dental laboratory in Windsor, Ontario, Canada serving dental professionals, collects, uses, stores and protects personal information through our website (dentaltechlab.ca), our contact forms, our email addresses, and our toll-free number 1-877-388-5227, including our text-messaging (SMS) program.

1. Information we collect

  • Contact information you give us — such as your name, practice or company name, email address and phone number, when you submit a form on this website, email us, call or text us, or send us a laboratory case.
  • Case information — prescriptions, digital scans and related records needed to fabricate your restorations, handled in accordance with our professional obligations.
  • Text-messaging opt-in data — if you opt in to receive SMS from us, we keep a record of your mobile number, the date, time and method of your consent, and your opt-out status.
  • Correspondence — the contents of messages you send us, so we can respond and keep a record of the conversation.

This website does not use advertising trackers and does not sell advertising space based on your personal data. Our web host may keep standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) for security purposes.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide dental laboratory services and communicate about them — including case status updates, pickup and delivery notifications and deadline reminders.
  • To respond to inquiries and feedback.
  • To send text messages to people who have opted in, as described in our SMS Terms & Conditions.
  • To meet our legal and professional record-keeping obligations.

3. Text messaging and mobile information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We may share information with platform providers, phone companies, and other vendors only to the extent necessary to deliver our mobile messages to you (for example, the messaging platform that transmits our texts). These service providers are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing.

Your consent to receive text messages from us is an agreement between you and us alone; it is not transferable and does not opt you in to messages from anyone else.

4. What we do not do

  • We do not sell, rent, trade or lease your personal information to anyone.
  • We do not share your personal information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
  • We do not use purchased or shared contact lists for text messaging.

5. Opting out of text messages

You may opt out of our text messages at any time by replying STOP (or CANCEL, END, QUIT or UNSUBSCRIBE) to any message from us. You will receive a single confirmation message, after which no further texts will be sent to you. You can also withdraw consent by emailing info@dentaltechlab.ca or calling 1-877-388-5227. Opt-out requests are honoured promptly, and in all cases within ten (10) business days. Reply HELP to any message for assistance.

6. How we protect and retain information

Personal information and case records are accessible only to the people who need them to respond to you or to complete your work, on access-controlled devices and accounts. We retain correspondence, case records and consent records only as long as needed for the purposes above and for our legal and professional record-keeping obligations.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, and you may withdraw any consent you have given at any time, by contacting us using the details below. We will respond in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, the laws of your jurisdiction.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes to how we handle text-messaging data will be communicated to opted-in users before they take effect.
